Fred Sandback, Untitled (1967) Fred Sandback’s ‘Untitled’ was a highlight for me, having never seen it in person. It is an elastic rayon cord which is installed in the gallery space, attached to the wall and floor. The lack of a physical artwork, in the conventional sense, is rendered irrelevant, as Sandback frames empty space, and creates a phenomenological experience that draws attention to the space itself, and our relationship to it.
